The stars refuse to shine for you - they do it just to spite

Thanks to my mom, I am now the proud owner of a three piece bathing suit - tankini top and bottom plus boy shorts. I love how it covers me up all over and how it's conducive to the lavatorial arts - however, I do not love that I am breaking the rules of my complex pool by owning it. In alignment with the BYU way of thinking, the more pieces your bathing suit has, the more jezebel it is. Back in my wild youth, I may or may not have owned a twelve piece bathing suit. Including matching vest and bow tie.

So while I am not sinning by using the uncharacteristically modest swimsuit, I am transgressing by breaking the one-piece-only rule.

In conclusion, what do you think?

I'm for it. There's no reason your swimming suit should be dubbed "immodest" simply because it has more pieces, especially if it covers more.

Also, five gold stars for the phrase" conducive to the lavatorial arts." I'd never thought of them as arts before.

I agree that in the summer we should adhere to the spirit of the law. But then, I think we should do that during the fall, winter, and spring as well.

As to the modesty v. whatever, I've see much more scandalous one-pieces than your three-piece. I personally prefer to draw inside the lines with my modest one-piece, but I have no problem with you "breaking" the rule the way that you are.

You vile, vile sinner. Shame should be cast upon you, as well as aspersions about your negotiable affection. You should be excommunicated.

In other words, welcome to my club!

Actually, no. I didn't delete any of them myself. The first was a repeat, and I don't know why the second got deleted. And the one I should delete is still there. so ... meh.

How's it going?

All the swimming suits I own have more than one piece, for all the aforementioned reasons. They're fabulous.

And I would pay good money to see anybody hop in a pool in a tuxedo.

Woohoo! Let's go swimming!

I say the more one can cover, no matter the amount of pieces, the better.

eh, one-pieces are overrated. for me, most one piece swimsuits are quite immodest. more power to you for finding a three piecer that will be comfortable, covering, and conducive to the lavatorial arts!
